Description
Help your child develop basic educational concepts in a fun ‘hands-on’ manner.
Match the shapes and colours according to the patterns provided on the sequence cards or use the spinners. Using both spinners, beads can be selected according to the colour and shape as indicated.
Threading is a life skill which has many benefits for your children.
- Fine motor control: The muscles of the hands and fingers are strengthened.
- Eye-hand coordination: Threading requires a good deal of eye-hand coordination which is necessary for most scholastic activities including drawing, writing, cutting and sewing.
- Crossing the midline of the body: Because both hands are involved in threading activities, the child will need to cross the midline when threading.
- Visual perception: Colour and shape recognition, sequencing
- Planning and concentration – Before copying the pattern cards, select the required beads.
- Tactile experiences: Place a few beads in ‘n bag. The child places his hand into the bag and takes out a shape according to instructions: Ask the child to feel for a square/oval/round bead.
